If you follow us on Instagram you would have seen that I was working on a unknown project Wednesday night. Well, I finished it.
I have been crocheting and knitting for a couple of years now, and have knitted/crocheted blankets, hats, unicorns, scarves, mittens, and even sweaters. Let me tell you, my yarn collection is very-VERY large…
Let me start off first by saying that I had no idea where I was going when I started chaining on those first couple stitches. I tend to ‘go with the flow’. In designing that is usually how it goes. You get all of your supplies together and just jump in, not having a certain design in mind. That is when I find my design/idea for the project.
So this is what I started with:
-Size American K crochet hook
-Bernat blanket yarn in white
-For the edging I used a dark green yarn, sorry I don’t have to brand for it.
I started by rolling the yarn from a spool into a ball. I advise all crocheters to do this. At first you may run into some knots, but getting the knots out before you start is better then having to take them out during.
Round 1: Chain 37
Round 2-30: SC all the way
Round 1: SC all around, three SC in every corner
Round 2: DC all, two DC in the stitch before the corner and three DC in the corner
Round 3: *SC five in next stitch, slip stitch in next stitch; *Repeat until last stitch

It came out with these dimensions: 15″ x 17″ for inside; 17″ x 19″ with edging.
Since I did not have a plan until I was already crocheting, this came out smaller than I had envisioned. This is like a baby’s little snuggle blanket.
Hope you enjoyed!
